Weekly Meal Planner
← aravindvas.comA canvas for building a week of meals that actually balances. Every card carries its macros and the slice of a daily goal it covers; drop cards onto the week and the day totals move with them. More options than slots on purpose — reject freely.
Options
How it works
- Drag a card onto the week — any dish fits any tile (Turkish eggs for breakfast is fine). Click a card, then click the tile you want it on; Enter drops it in the first free slot, Esc cancels. Double-click skips the picking.
- Cmd-drag (or Ctrl-drag) a card on the board to another tile to copy it there; a plain drag moves it.
- Far tiles are easy — picking works wherever the tile is, and drags auto-scroll when you get near the screen edges, sideways along the week included.
- + Custom meal adds your own dish to the deck — just a name and a slot; the macros are optional (blank counts as 0, shown as 0%).
- Every card shows its macros (calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber) and, on the bars, the percentage of the daily goal that macro covers.
- Fiber is tracked for gut health — the default goal (25 g/day) is the household's target; day totals show how much of it the day covers. Small boosts (chickpeas in salads, isabgol in yogurt, side salads, extra veg) are already built into the dishes.
- Day totals update live under each column — a day running hot on calories turns red. The numbers are per the portion sizes printed on the card (the weighed serving, not the family pot).
- Export plan downloads the week as JSON (and copies it to the clipboard) — that file is the hand-off to turn the canvas into a real plan with recipes and shopping lists.
- Your week and goals are saved in this browser automatically. Reset week clears the canvas.
Macro values are practical approximations per serving, meant for planning trade-offs — not clinical precision.
